Description

One clean panel for everything you do with image planes in Maya. Paste or snapshot a reference, snap it to the camera’s real gate at any aspect ratio, trim a video right on a timeline, and drop it into your shot. ffmpeg is bundled, so video, sequences and GIFs just work.

Works in Maya 2022–2026. One drag to install.

WHAT IT DOES
– Add anything — paste (Ctrl+V), snapshot a still, record a screen region as video, or browse to an image / sequence / video / GIF
– Gate-accurate snapping — planes snap to the camera’s true gate, so they land right at any aspect ratio
– Trim on a timeline — thumbnail scrubber, in/out handles, jog/play, [ and ] shortcuts; add just the slice you want
– Manage — one list, filter by camera, multi-select, toggle visibility
– Adjust — scale (gate-relative), depth, alpha, with proper undo
– Flip / Flop — baked so it sticks, on stills and video
– Relink — move a plane to another camera in one click
– Bundled ffmpeg — nothing else to install

COMPATIBILITY
Maya 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 (Windows). Handles PySide2 and PySide6 automatically.

INSTALL
Unzip, open Maya, drag install.py into the viewport. A shelf button appears. Done.
