Description
I started this Knight project 5 years ago….modeled basically everything from scratch back in 2018, but for some reason, never actually applied a rig to it at the time. It was either I lost interest, too many things in my life popped up, still wasn’t satisfied with my biped rig setup, bored of rigging bipeds, or I just had other interests in better projects to work on. Whatever the reason was, this project was put on the backburner for quite some time only to be remembered now where I was not sure what I wanted to work on next. So I decided that it was time to just get this one done. Afterall, the armor I modeled for this was too awesome to pass up. Design-wise I was trying to go for a fantasy-like knight like you see in certain video games that are out there. Also, the huge sword I designed for this was done that way on purpose to give it a more fantastical approach. Rig-wise, same biped rig setup like my grim-reaper project. The toga has controls to pose things around.
This rig also comes with a Sword and Shield, both have their own rigs to them that can easily be constrained in Maya using Constraints. (Constraints are not already set up as an FYI) Both prop rigs also have animatable pivots to help animate them at whatever angle you want. To see these controls, there is an attribute on each main prop COG ctrl that toggles the visibility of these extra controls.
