With this script you’ll be able to create a catenary rig with just a click.

Instructions
- Drag the python script into Maya’s script editor
- Select the curves that you want to rig
- Launch the script
- Enjoy!
Technical notes
You can find the math here and make your own if you want to!
It uses as little as 5 iterations, so it’s super duper fast (thanks to Marty Cohen).
