Here is my Ninja project.
Design wise, this project was heavily influenced by the ninja costumes worn from the likes of Scorpion and Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat, especially if you look at the mask. I’ve always loved the designs in the masks from Mortal Kombat, so I wanted my ninja to portray those influences. You might ask why I didn’t just do a Mortal Kombat Scorpion or Sub-zero project instead of my own original ninja, well the answer is simple: you can find ripped models of both characters online, and so many iterations have been done before for those characters, that I chose not to go that route. Besides creating my own ninja sounded like more fun. The Japanese lettering that can be found on the patches attached to his costume which says 忍者 , translates to “Ninja” in English. If I were to give this ninja a personalized signature name, I’d probably call him: ステルス・スレイヤー , Suterusu sureiyā , which translates to Stealth Slayer.
Rig wise, this rig takes advantage of my newest biped module which I just recently updated my autorigger with. This is the first test with my newest iteration of my biped autorigger, which drastically saved me a lot of time when doing the rig. Some key things to note about this rig, is that it does come with a basic set of facial controls like eyelid & eyebrow movements, for expressions. There are also weapon rigs such as katanas, kunais, and shurikans, which can be made visible via the world_ctrl.
